Baltic SWAP
Baltic SWAP promotes sustainable lifestyle through re-use and exchange of usable goods between people.
The long-term goal is to change consumption patterns and to raise public awareness of ecological impact of consumer goods in the Baltic Sea Region.

Baltic SWAP day will take place on 27 August at Södermalmstorg in Stockholm from 10-17.00.
Baltic SWAP day is an event that presents and promotes solutions for sustainable lifestyle which are good for you and our Planet.
We will have a free market of clothes and other things from households, music and ecologic food. Join us! Take with you want you want and take home what you like! Everything will be for free exchange.

Participation is very easy! Just bring your clothes and/or any other stuff from household (e.g. kitchen items, skates, radio, shoes) which you would like to give away. For every item you bring you get one “ticket” which can be exchanged to any item you like. For example, if you bring 4 items, you can swap them to 4 “new” items.
Please keep in mind that the items you bring should be clean and functional.
We hope that all things will find their new owners by the end of the day! That’s why after 14.00 everyone will have an opportunity to take whatever they like for free, even without having brought items for swapping.
Several organizations will be there to tell you about sustainability in everyday life. Some of the highlights are:
- Graduates from Recycle design-Återbruk course, Eskilstuna Folkhögskola, will show their creative artworks, mainly re-made clothes
- Medveten Konsumption
- 100 hus
In addition there will be:
- Music by RUXPIN (Iceland) www.myspace.com/jonasruxpin
- Ecologic food from Sattva Naturbageriet, Gamla Stan
- Fairtrade coffee
We use electricity from renewable energy sources to power our event, thanks to Kraft & Kultur!
